University of the Incarnate Word Gets Commitment from Panagiotis Panos Vlachogiannakos of Greece
NEW COMMIT: Piraeus, Greece native Panagiotis Panos Vlachogiannakos has announced his commitment to the University of the Incarnate Word and will arrive on campus as a member of the class of 2024.
An extremely versatile swimmer, Vlachogiannakos most recently competed at the Greek Winter Championships where he finaled in three events. He has made significant improvements each season, with the vast majority of his best times achieve in January and February of 2020.
His best times include:
- 200m IM – 2:05.85
- 400m IM – 4:25.29
- 1500m free – 15:58.69
- 200m breast – 2:22.05
- 100m fly – 58.49
- 100m back – 1:00.53
- 200m back – 2:07.29
Under head coach Phillip Davis, the Cardinals earned their third-straight Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Championship crown this past season.
His current countrymate, Spyros Kranias, will also join him in San Antonio this fall.
