UCLA Swimming Earns Pac-12 Win Over Utah

The UCLA women’s swimming and diving team defeated Utah 190-106 on Saturday at home.

The Bruins opened with a 400 medley relay win (3:41.70) behind Fay Lustria, Ana Jih-Schiff, Joanie Cash and Brooke Schaffer.

Schaffer won the 200 freestyle in 1:50.11 and 100 free (50.36). Lustria won the 100 backstroke (55.64). Jih-Schiff won the 200 breast (2:14.24). Cash won the 100 butterfly (54.86).

UCLA’s Paige MacEachern won the 200 butterfly in 2:01.23 and 200 IM (2:02.71).

UCLA’s Ashley Kolessar won the 1000 free (10:07.57). Sarah Bennetts won the 100 breaststroke (1:03.01). Rosie Murphy won the 200 back (1:57.93). Gizem Guvenc won the 500 free (5:00.09). Lauran Hallaselka won 3-meter diving with 310.20 points.

Utah’s Erin Palmer won the 50 freestyle in 23.32. Holly Waxman won 1-meter diving with 284.90 points.
