NEW COMMIT: The University of Missouri has received a new verbal commitment for the 2022-23 season from West Chester, Ohio native and U.S. Open qualifier Paige Striley.

She will join Grace Hanson of Hutchinson, Minn. as a member of the Tigers’ Class of 2026.

She told Swimming World:

“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Missouri. Huge thank you to my parents, coaches, teammates, and friends for helping me get to where I am today. Can’t wait to be part of such an incredible team. GO TIGERS!!!”

A talented breaststroker and sprint freestyler, Striley does her club swimming with Mason Manta Rays and placed fifth in the 50 free, eighth in the 200 IM, and ninth in the 100 breast at the Southern Premier Invitational. In summer 2019, she raced two events at Geneva Futures after taking 10th in the 200m breast at Ohio LCM Seniors.

Her best times include:

  • 100 breast – 1:03.00
  • 200 breast – 2:23.43
  • 50 free – 23.20
  • 100 free – 50.68
  • 200 IM – 2:02.98

Currently a junior at Lakota West High School, Striley is already a four-time Ohio State Championship finalist. She finished ninth in both the 100 free and 200 IM as a sophomore while taking fourth in the 50 free and 10th in the 100 free during her freshman season.

Striley will add valuable depth both individually and on relays when she arrives on campus in the fall of 2022. She’ll be joining a program that produced current Tiger senior Sarah Thompson, who finished fifth in the 50 free at the 2020 SEC Championships, as well as Kayla Jones and Katrina Brathwaite.
