CROZET, Virginia, September 28. Tonight, Shenandoah Marlins’ Remedy Rule, the top ranked recruit in the State of Virginia by CollegeSwimming.com, elected to become a Texas Longhorn.
Rule is the 35th-ranked recruit in the entire Class of 2015, and has a seriously strong backstroke and butterfly in her arsenal.
Rule, who preps at Western Albemarle High School in Virginia, owns a 1:04.08 in the 100-meter backstroke as well as a 1:56.50 in the 200-yard fly. She also put up a strong 200-meter fly at the Austin Grand Prix this year with a 2:11.24, definitely giving her an inside look at her future home.
Rule can also expand her range into the distance events with a 4:19.74 in the 400-meter free as well as a 4:48.23 in the 500-yard freestyle event. She also has a strong 200-yard back with a 1:57.61 to her credit from the Virginia Senior Championships in March.
