Top French, European Swimmers Headed To Vichy For French Open
VICHY, France, June 30. MORE than a dozen international swim stars will converge on Vichy, France this Friday and Saturday for the 8th French Open. Host France will have a loaded lineup, with Fabien Gilot, Camille Lacourt, Florent Manaudou and Jeremy Stravius headlining the men’s psych sheet and Coralie Balmy, Charlotte Bonnet, Melanie Henique and Camille Muffat leading the women’s participants.

A lot of top international talent from countries across Europe, South America and Australia will be in Vichy as well. Several Australians have made the trip, including James Magnussen and Emma McKeon, as well as Brazilians Cesar Cielo, Nicholas Santos and Thiago Pereira. Hungary’s Laszlo Cseh, David Verraszto, Katinka Hosszu and Evelyn Verraszto figure to be factors for multiple titles, along with Inge Dekker and Ranomi Kromowidjojo of The Netherlands. Hosszu will be the busiest swimmer at the meet, as she’s entered in a whopping 13 individual events.
