Tiger Aquatics’ Isabel Rishwain Verbally Commits to Cal State East Bay
NEW COMMIT: Isabel Rishwain of Stockton, California, has verbally committed to Cal State East Bay. Rishwain swims for Tiger Aquatics and is a senior at Lincoln High School in San Jose.
Rishwain is primarily a sprint freestyler. Her best times include:
- 50 Free 25.02
- 100 Free 53.85
- 200 Free 1:55.78
- 100 Fly 1:02.06
Rishwain told Swimming World,
“Cal State East Bay offered a complete package of what I was looking for. The coaches and the team were a natural fit for me. Plus I love the San Francisco area!”
Cal State East Bay competes in the Pacific Collegiate Swim and Dive Conference Championships. With her best time Rishwain would have finished 23rd in the 100 free last year. Sophomore Vivy Hua (52.38) was sixth. Two juniors were also in the top 24. They’ll have graduated by Rishwain’s arrival, but she’ll have a year to train with Hua. Rishwain’s best 200 freestyle would have been good for fourth place. That also would have been the team’s top finisher in the event. Rishwain’s best 50 freestyle time would have landed her in the D final last year. Hua was an A finalist (23.89) there as well.
Rishwain’s Tiger Aquatics teammates Emma Lindquist and Miranda Padilla have also given verbal commitments to college programs. They’ll both be staying in state as well.
