Texas Men, Virginia Women Maintain Hold on Top Spots in CSCAA Poll

The University of Texas’s men’s team and University of Virginia women remain atop the final College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of American (CSCAA) poll of 2021.

Both teams remain in the top spot for the third straight poll this season. Texas earned all 14 first-place votes as the top three remained unchanged. NC State is second, while California is third.

Arizona State is the biggest mover in the men’s poll, rising from 15th to sixth. Arizona (in 20th) and Harvard (23rd) join the poll for the first time this season. Georgia slid six spots to 14th, while Virginia’s men are down 10 spots to 17th.

On the women’s side, Virginia earned 11 of the 14 first-place votes. Texas, Michigan and Stanford received the other three votes, following in places two through four, respectively.

Alabama cracked the top 10, elevated from 16th to eighth. Florida went in the other direction, plummeting from eighth to 17th. Minnesota (20th) and Arizona (24th) check into the top 25 for the first time this season.

The next poll will be released on Jan. 20.
