Texas Men Finish Unblemished Run Atop CSCAA/TYR Top 25 Rankings
With ten meets and no defeats, the University of Texas men’s swimming and diving team has finished the 2015-16 Dual Meet season atop the final CSCAA / TYR Top 25. The final poll reflects a season that saw the Longhorns go 10-0 with wins against nine top-twenty programs.
The University of California (7-1) finished up the year ranked second. The Golden Bears lone blemish was a one point setback on the road at Southern California. Florida and Michigan swapped places with the Gators moving to third and the Wolverines dropping to fifth while Georgia remained at number four.
Auburn and NC State held steady at sixth and seventh respectively, while Indiana, Southern California and Alabama all moved into the top ten.
Most teams now turn their attention to their respective conference championships and, in March, the NCAA Championships. The Longhorns look to defend their Big XII title this weekend and their NCAA Championship in a month. California and Michigan, meanwhile, head off to the Pac-12 and Big Ten meets this week.
