Texas Longhorns Add Kyle Peck To Class Of 2024
NEW COMMIT: The University of Texas has added yet another impressive verbal pledge for the 2024-25 season and beyond, this time from Kyle Peck of Fredericksburg, Virginia.
He will join Jeremy Kelly, Luke Stibrich, Brayden Taivassalo and Cooper Lucas as a member of the Longhorns’ Class of 2028.
Regarding his commitment, he said:
“I’m excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic endeavors at the University of Texas. I want to thank my family, friends, teachers as well as my coaches and teammates with the RAYS who have guided me along the way. Who knew this photo from when I was six months old would be so telling? Coach Eddie and Coach Wyatt and the team, I look forward to this exciting opportunity. Hook’em Horns”
Peck earned seven best times at the NCSA Championships this past summer. Back in March, he was a seven-time NCSA Championship finalist, placing as high as fifth in the 200 back. He then went on to win the 100 fly and 200 back at Richmond Futures.
He trains year-round with Rappahannock Stingrays Swim Team and is the Virginia Swimming LSC record holder in the 100 back.
His best times include:
- 100 back – 47.24
- 200 back – 1:44.48
- 100 fly – 48.50
- 200 fly – 1:48.71
- 50 free – 20.87
- 200 IM – 1:49.92
Currently a junior at Chancellor High School, Peck won the 100 back and was the 100 fly runner-up at the 2022 Virginia Class 4 State Championship. He placed third and fourth, respectively, in those events during his freshman season.
