Texas Adds Verbal Commitments from Matthew Willenbring, Alex Zettle
The University of Texas men have added two more verbal commitments to the Class of 2022. Matthew Willenbring and Alex Zettle join a class that already includes Drew Kibler, Charlie Scheinfeld and Daniel Krueger.
Matthew Willenbring
Willenbring trains with Austin Swim Club. He is a freestyler and a strong 200 IMer as well. He attends Westlake High School where he is the Texas 6A defending state champion in the 200 IM. At the 2017 Championships he touched second in the 100 freestyle. Willenbring was also on the team’s second place 200 medley relay, where he split a 25.42 on the breaststroke leg.

Alex Zettle
Zettle is the two time defending Texas 6A state champion in the 200 freestyle. He attends Carroll Senior High School and swims for Lakeside Aquatic Club.
Zettle is a freestyler. His top times are:

- 500 Free 4:19.73
- 1000 Free 9:12.47
- 1650 Free 15:20.36
