Texas Adds to Loaded Class of 2028 With Verbal From Junior National Runner-Up Landon D’Ariano
NEW COMMIT: The University of Texas has added a new verbal commitment to its loaded freshman class for Fall 2024 from Landon D’Ariano of West Chester, Pennsylvania.
He will join Max Hatcher, Kyle Peck, Jeremy Kelly, Luke Stibrich, Brayden Taivassalo and Cooper Lucas as a member of the Longhorns’ Class of 2028.
His best times include:
- 400 IM – 3:46.98
- 200 IM – 1:47.94
- 1650 free – 15:20.35
- 1000 free – 9:08.03
- 500 free – 4:24.46
- 200 free – 1:39.67
- 200 back – 1:48.44
- 200 fly – 1:49.61
D’Ariano trains year-round with Germantown Academy Aquatic Club and placed second in the 400 IM at Juniors East last month. Last summer, he finished second in the 200m IM/800m free, fourth in the 400m IM and sixth in the 400m free at NCSA Championships.
Currently a junior at Germantown Academy, D’Ariano earned gold in the 500 free and bronze in the 200 IM at the 2022 Eastern Interscholastic Championships. He is also a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.
