Tennessee Gets Verbal Pledge From Junior National Finalist Jed Garner
NEW COMMIT: The University of Tennessee has received a new verbal commitment for the fall of 2023 from Junior National qualifier Jed Garner of Clarksburg, Maryland.
Regarding his commitment, he said:
“I’m extremely excited to announce my commitment to the University of Tennessee. I’d like to thank my family and coaches as well as everyone else who has helped me along the way. Go Vols!”
A talented breaststroker, Garner trains year-round with Rockville Montgomery Swim Club and most recently earned all best times at Junior Nationals where he finished seventh in the 200m breast and 17th in the 100m breast. Back in March, he won the B-final of the 200 breast at the NCSA Championships.
His best times include:
- 50 breast – 25.42 (relay split)
- 100 breast – 55.49
- 200 breast – 1:58.82
Currently a senior at Clarksburg High School, Garner won the 100 breast and took sixth in the 200 IM at the 2022 Maryland State Championships.
