SwimmingWorld.TV Video: North Texas Two Step With Brett Ringgold, Jonathan Roberts
KNOXVILLE, Tennessee, December 7. IT was a strong evening for the North Texas Nadadores as the team demonstrated range with wins in the men's 50 and 500 frees at the U.S. Winter Short Course Junior Nationals.
Jonathan Roberts provided North Texas with the first win of the meet, claiming the junior national title in 4:21.33, dropping two seconds from his lifetime best of 4:23.97 set in the morning.
Roberts, meanwhile, talked about his race strategy of controlling the race in the middle-distance event by going out strong and holding on to win. He also looks forward to his mile later this weekend.
Brett Ringgold took home the splash-and-dash title with a meet record time of 19.73, as he touched out SwimMAC's Kyle Darmody (19.83) in the process. That swim beat the record of 19.82 that Bolles' Caeleb Dressel had set in relay duty earlier in the evening, that downed a 19.83 mark from Vlad Morozov.
