Swimming World’s Top Swimming Photos of 2021

The 2021 year brought a return of elite swimming competitions around the world, including the Tokyo Olympics, Olympic Trials, NCAA Championships, European Short Course Championships and the FINA Short Course World Championships, among others.

The return was a refreshing reboot to the sport, which suffered a year of no major competitions because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The result was an exciting Olympics, albeit without spectators. The same went for the NCAA Championships. But the energy and emotion were shown in the pool by the athletes and coaches.
