Searching For Swim Meet Results Just Got Easier – Swimming World Upgrades Historic Database
PHOENIX – Since Swimming World Magazine was first established by co-founder Robert Kiphuth and Peter Daland in 1952, we have always taken our role as The Record of the Sport seriously. This year, we are proud to announce an updated results upload system that is the first rollout for a more robust system coming later this year.
Now, meet managers who have a results .PDF or .TXT file can upload their swim meet results directly to Swimming World’s Results Database. Also, Meet Managers or Webmasters can now grab code for posting results links directly on their team’s website. This upgrade is in addition to our continued partnership with International Sports Timing (IST), and Active.com‘s Hy-Tek Meet Manager program.
All uploads reach our worldwide audience and are now fully searchable and SEO friendly.

Searchable Swim Meet Results
Not only do we have user upload activated with the new system, it’s fully searchable across all of the various formats. Now, all you have to do is click on any category of results (All Results, USA Senior, Elite & Nationals, NCAA & Collegiate, etc.) and a search box will become available. For instance, a quick “Phelps, Michael” search (Best to search in quotes) will report that we have more than 373 meets he swam in dating back to May 26, 2000.
This swim meet results search was from a meet on May 26, 2000 at the CADILLAC CHALLENGE SWIM SERIES, 2000 KEYBANK SWIM CLASSIC, DONALD CANHAM NATATORIUM, ANN ARBOR, MICHIGAN where Michael Phelps made his USA Olympic Trial Cut at age 14.
This is a great feature for research that only Swimming World can bring you!
So, if you want to make sure that your meet results are found not only via Swimming World, but also optimized to be seen by all search engines leveraging Swimming World‘s long history on the Internet, take the time to send us your results.
I just did a search with my name in quotes and got a list of my results for all the major meets I’ve been in the last 15 years. It brought back some nice memories. The results also showed some NCAA and USA swim meets that this masters swimmer wasn’t in. I’m not sure why those popped up.
I searched using my name, and 19 results came up, none of which involved me. So, clearly, this has its limits. I’m wondering how far back, historically, the meet results go. I’d love to see some results from the era of college swimming in which I participated, in the early 1960s.
Hey Sandy,
It starts with the 1996 Olympics, the first results we uploaded in our results system on Swiminfo.
We may look into getting our older For The Record results into the system.
