Swimming Technique Re-Launches Under Wayne Goldsmith
Swimming World is proud to announce the re-launch of the iconic Swimming Technique Magazine. Swimming Technique has been widely regarded as one of the most influential swimming magazines since 1963.
We’ve appointed one of the world’s most respected swimming thought leaders Wayne Goldsmith to be the new General Managing Editor for Swimming Technique Magazine.
“I am honored and really excited by this opportunity”, said Goldsmith. “Swimming Technique was a big influence on my thinking in the early years of my involvement in swimming – I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the latest copy – so to be asked to lead the magazine’s direction into the future is fantastic”.
Goldsmith has been at the forefront of swimming education for over 25 years and has worked with many of the world’s leading athletes, coaches, teams, sports scientists, researchers and educators in over 30 countries.
“My vision for Swimming Technique is simple….the marriage – the integration – of swimming science and the art of swimming coaching.
There are some very smart, very effective and very talented sports science and sports medicine professionals working in swimming all over the world. And there’s thousands of motivated, committed, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and passionate swimming coaches – working hard in pools and in gyms across the globe.
Both groups – the scientists and the coaches are giving their all – everyday – to help swimmers realize their potential.
My job is to bring them together – to provide a platform – Swimming Technique – where the science of swimming can be intelligently integrated with the art of swimming coaching”.
Swimming Technique will be published quarterly (January, April, July, October) and is available in the Swimming World Vault.
Coaches, sports scientists, sports medicine professionals and others who would like to contribute their ideas, innovations and inspirations for consideration of publication in Swimming Technique should read the editorial guidelines and send their submissions to Technique@SwimmingWorld.com.
