“Swimmer Bill” to Appear on Food Network
PORTLAND, Oregon, October 14. BILL Volckening, USMS Editor for SWIM Magazine, is scheduled to appear on the cable television Food Network as a special
guest on the "Cooking Thin" show.
In 2002, Volckening (A.K.A. “Swimmer Bill”) lost 70 pounds swimming daily and following along with Cooking Thin and celebrity host Chef Kathleen Daelemans. He has successfully maintained the weight loss during the past year.
“Swimming is the only exercise I do,” says Volckening. “The myth that you can’t lose weight by swimming is exactly that – a myth.”
Volckening will appear on the “Success Stories” special, which is rumored to include some Masters swimming meet footage.
