Swim Fort Lauderdale Wins US Masters Team National Championship

The Swim Fort Lauderdale Masters team won the National Team Championship title at the 2021 United States Masters Swimming (USMS) Long Course National Championship during the weekend.
A field of 706 swimmers from 159 teams competed at the event October 7-10 at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio. This event, was postponed from August 5-8 due the coronavirus pandemic.
Coach Marty Hendrick and Coach Blake Woodrow led a strong team of 67 athletes, ages 21 to 79, to win the title.
This is the sixth National Club Championship title for Fort Lauderdale. The previous championships teams are as follows:
- 2010 USMS Summer Nationals, San Juan, Puerto Rico
- 2014 USMS Summer Nationals, College Park, MD
- 2015 USMS Summer Nationals, Cleveland, OH
- 2016 USMS Summer Nationals, Portland, OR
- 2017 USMS Summer Nationals, Minneapolis, MN
- 2021 USMS Long Course Nationals, Geneva, OH
