Stina Gardell, Josefin Lindkvist Shine at Swedish Grand Prix

UPPSALA – Stina Gardell and Josefin Lindkvist each shined with a double during day one of the Swedish Grand Prix 1 in Uppsala.
Stina Gardell punched the wall in 2:03.23 to win the women’s 200-meter free, well ahead of Alba Fores’ second-place time of 2:05.80. Jaqueline Hippi wound up third in 2:07.16.
Gardell doubled up with a 2:15.36 in the women’s 200-meter IM. Hippi finished second in 2:21.20 with Dublin’s Shani Stallard placing third in 2:22.37.
Josefin Lindkvist touched out Shauna O’Brien, 1:02.18 to 1:02.20, to win the women’s 100-meter fly. Hannah Rosvall snared third in 1:03.35.
Lindkvist also doubled as she won the women’s 50-meter free in 26.39. Klara Thormalm (26.98) and Nadja Salomansson (27.02) rounded out the top three.
Sophie Hansson turned in a 1:10.98 to win the women’s 100-meter breast. Jessica Eriksson took second in 1:12.24 with Vilma Ekstrom earning third in 1:12.47.
Jessica Erikson went from second in the 100-meter breast to winning the women’s 50-meter back with a 30.29. Linnea Olsson took second in 30.41 with Miranda Arvidsson earning third in 30.46.
Alba Fores topped the women’s 800-meter free in 9:08.00. Erica Dahlgren (9:15.77) and Erica Sjoholm (9:16.29) placed second and third.
Marlene Pavlu Lewin posted a 2:21.62 to win the women’s 200-meter back. Anna Ahlin finished second in 2:22.26 with Miranda Arvidsson taking third in 2:23.14.
Robin Andreasson picked up the men’s 100-meter free title in 51.92 with Alexander Nystrom taking second in 52.03. Isak Eliasson rounded out the top three in 52.39.
Alex Murphy of Dublin won the men’s 50-meter breast in 28.82. Gulliver Koch (29.46) and Marcus Svensson (29.50) also cleared 30-seconds to make the top three.
Patrik Lofgren dominated the men’s 400-meter IM with a 4:36.17, while Oskar Ericsson finished second in 4:41.84. Oskar Johansson closed out the podium with a third-place 4:45.83.
Simon Sjodin took home the men’s 100-meter back title in 56.05. Axel Pettersson posted a 57.20 for second, while Mattias Carlsson finished third in 57.85.
Jesper Bjork captured the men’s 200-meter fly in 2:05.38 with Markus Malm (2:06.48) and Robert Makhinya (2:10.01) claiming second and third.
Adam Paulsson won the men’s 400-meter free in 3:59.78 with Victor Johansson placing well behind in second in 4:02.51. Gustaf Dahlman took third in 4:07.08.
Gulliver Koch topped the men’s 200-meter breast in 2:21.37 with Daniel Raisanen taking second in 2:22.94. Teodor Widerberg finished third in 2:26.85.
Jesper Jonsson clocked a 25.20 to win the men’s 50-meter fly, while Niklas Borin took second in 25.54. Mika Persson placed third in 25.57.
