A true sprinter, Lins trains year-round with Piedmont Swim Team and earned bronze in the 50m free at the California-Nevada Summer Sectional Meet where he also placed fifth in the 100m free. He was also the runner-up in the 50m free at the TYR 18&U Spring Cup in Irvine after claiming the bronze medal in the 50 free at St. George Sectionals in March.
His best times include:
- 50 free – 20.11
- 100 free – 44.85
- 100 fly – 48.99
- 200 free – 1:40.65
He is currently a junior at Piedmont High School.
Lins will add valuable depth both individually and on relays when he arrives in Charlottesville at the start of the 2023-24 season. He’ll overlap for one year with now-sophomore Matt Brownstead, the 2021 ACC champion in the 50 and 100 free.
