South Carolina Brings In First 2023 Verbal From USA Swimming Scholastic All-American Raymond Prosinski

NEW COMMIT: The University of South Carolina has received its first verbal commitment for the 2023-24 season and beyond from U.S. Open qualifier Raymond Prosinski of Saint Augustine, Florida.
Regarding his commitment, he said:
“I am excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of South Carolina. I want to thank God, my parents, my coaches, and my teammates for helping me along the way. I look forward to the upcoming years. Go Cocks!”
Prosinski does his club swimming with Loggerhead Aquatics and placed sixth in the 400m IM at Huntsville Futures this past summer where he also finished 14th in the 200m IM. Last spring, he raced to 10th in the 400 IM and 11th in the mile at the NCSA Championships.
His best times include:
- 500 free – 4:32.90
- 1000 free – 9:23.56
- 1650 free – 15:41.45
- 200 IM – 1:51.32
- 400 IM – 3:56.10
Currently a junior at Bartram Trail High School, Prosinski placed seventh in the 200 IM and eighth in the 500 free in both 2020 and 2021 at the Florida 4A State Championships. He has also earned USA Swimming Scholastic All-American honors.
