Social Kick Podcast: Carson Foster Reviews Sensational Summer, Upcoming Training With Leon Marchand

Some things have changed for Carson Foster, the United States’ premier athlete in the individual medley events. And some things have stayed the same. While Foster remains at the University of Texas, where he was a collegiate star for the Longhorns, he is now training under the watch of Bob Bowman. Foster was previously coached by the legendary Eddie Reese, who retired after the Olympic Trials in Indianapolis. Bowman is Reese’s successor, and has taken over Foster’s training.

Foster recently joined the Social Kick Podcast to discuss his performance at the Paris Games and provide a glimpse into his future in the sport. When speaking with hosts Luke Paddington, Bryan Lundquist and John Mullen, Foster spoke about training with Frenchman and Olympic champ Leon Marchand, once the four-time Olympic champ returns to Austin in January. The men should push each other on the road to the Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

The interview also focuses on Foster’s performances at the Olympic Trials, where he swept the medley events, and the Olympic Games. In Paris, Foster earned a bronze medal in the 400 individual medley and captured a silver medal in the 800 freestyle relay, where he’s become a reliable leg for Team USA.
