Scottsdale Aquatic Club’s Noelle Lavigne has announced her verbal commitment to swim for Bowling Green State University. Lavigne also swims for her high school, Desert Vista.
Lavigne shared,
“I chose Bowling Green for the amazing network between academics and athletics. The entire team supports each other so much and the level of team spirit is amazing! Everyone was so proud to be there and I couldn’t be prouder to have the opportunity to be a future falcon.”
Her best times are:
- 50 Free 24.27
- 100 Free 53.18
- 200 Free 1:58.61
- 200 Back 2:09.72
At November’s Arizona Division 1 High School state championships Lavigne finished sixth (24.27) in the 50 freestyle and seventh (53.56) in the 100 free.
Bowling Green finished third at the 2016 Mid-American Conference Championships. She’s not quite in scoring range yet at the Conference level, but she’ll join a group of sprinters who could lift her to the next level. Last year the Falcons were led by Victoria Griffin, Hannah Newman, and Kayla Effinger. All three of those athletes will have graduated by the 2017-2018 season. Megan Larson (52.34) and Kalinka Mogenson (52.43) will be juniors when Lavigne arrives to campus next fall.
