Sasha Touretski Sets Swiss National Record at Swiss Summer Champs

Sasha Touretski put on an outstanding record-breaking show at the 2015 Swiss Summer Championships in Worb this past weekend.

Most notably, Touretski tied her own Swiss national record in the 50-meter free en route to her 25.27 victory. She duplicated her time from late May at a meet in Bellinzona, Switzerland. Her time currently stands at 44th in the world.

In addition to her stellar 50 free, Touretski won the 100-meter free, 50-meter back, and the 50 and 100-meter fly. (Times Below).

A handful of other women came away with multiple victories. Julia Hassler won the women’s 400 and 800-meter free in 4:16.30 and 8:45.38, respectively. Martina van Berkel came away with wins in the 200-meter back (2:19.57) and 200-meter fly (2:11.03). Sibylle Graenicher swept the 100 and 200-meter breaststroke races in 1:05.02 and 2:19.57, respectively. Lisa Stamm won both IMs in 2:21.02 and 5:00.18.

On the men’s side, Andrey Grechin won the 50 (22.42) and 100-meter free (49.58.). He also pulled out a win in the 50-meter fly with a 24.48. Lukas Räuftlin swept all three backstroke races with a 26.61 in the 50, 55.73 in the 100, and 2:01.58 in the 200. Nils Liess won the 200-meter free in 1:49.98 and 200-meter fly in 2:00.82. Jérémy Desplanches won the 50-meter breast (28.84), 200-meter IM (2:02.42), and 400-meter IM (4:24.49). Yannick Käser won the 100 (1:02.34) and 200-meter breast (2:16.90).

The Devine Ms, T is daughter of former Russian coach Gennadiy, who developed Alex Popiv and then was Austalian Institute of Spirt gead man and helped develop Ian Thorpe.

Like father like daughter they always say.
