Sarasota Sharks’ Taylor Schwenk Picks NC State For 2026
NEW COMMIT: North Carolina State University has secured a verbal commitment for its Class of 2026 recruiting cycle from U.S. Open qualifier Taylor Schwenk of Sarasota, Florida. She’ll arrive in Raleigh as part of the Wolfpack’s Class of 2030.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I am extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at North Carolina State University! I would like to thank my friends, family, coaches and teammates for the endless support. I would also like to thank the coaches at NC state for giving me this special opportunity! GO PACK‼️”
Schwenk does her club swimming with Sarasota Sharks. She capped off her long course season at Huntsville Futures where she placed 10th in the 100m free as well as 11th in both the 100m fly and 200m free.
In February, Schwenk raced to 11th in both the 100 back and 100 fly at Southern Zone Seniors before going on to collect silver in the 200 free and bronze in the 500 free at Florida Spring Seniors.
Her best times include:
- 100 back – 53.95
- 100 fly – 54.87
- 200 free – 1:48.12
- 500 free – 4:49.74
Currently a junior at Riverview Sarasota High School, Schwenk won the 100 back and earned bronze in the 100 fly at the 2023 Florida 4A State Championships when she was a sophomore. She took third and eighth, respectively, in those events during her freshman year.
