LAUSANNE, Switzerland – Juan Antonio Samaranch was re-elected Thursday by acclamation to a fourth term as president of the International Olympic Committee. Samaranch, who was unopposed, won another four-year term that will keep in office until the year 2001. The 77-year-old former Spanish diplomat has been IOC president since 1980. The IOC changed its age limit rules in 1995 in order to allow Samaranch to seek re-election this year.
