Sam Wolf, Wisconsin State Champion, Sends 2026 Verbal to Indiana

NEW COMMIT: Indiana University has secured a verbal commitment on the men’s side for Fall 2026, from Middleton, Wisconsin native Sam Wolf. Wolf is one of the best 200 IMers in the Class of 2026.

Regarding his commitment, he said:

“I’m excited to announce my commitment to swim and study at Indiana University. I’d like to thank my family, coaches, and teammates for their support. I’d also like to thank Coach Ray and Coach John along with the rest of the IU team for this incredible opportunity. Go Hoosiers!!”

Wolf does his club swimming with Badger Aquatics Club and capped off his summer season by winning the 50m breast at NCSA LCM Championships where he also took second in the 50m free, eighth in the 50m fly and 10th in the 100m free. His highest finish at the NCSA SCY Championships was a seventh-place showing in the 50 breast.

His best times include:

  • 50 free – 20.40
  • 100 free – 44.80
  • 200 free – 1:38.04
  • 200 IM – 1:47.97
  • 100 breast – 55.55

Currently a junior at Middleton High School, Wolf won the 200 IM and earned silver in the 100 free at the 2024 Wisconsin Division I State Championships. He took third in the 200 IM and fourth in the 100 breast at the state meet during his freshman season.

The Hoosiers won their third straight Big Ten title in 2024, also placing fourth at the 2024 NCAA Championships.
