Ryan Lochte To Be Contestant On 23rd Season Of Dancing With The Stars
This morning on “Good Morning America” the hosts of the show announced the members of the 23rd season of “Dancing With The Stars.”
Olympic gold medalists Ryan Lochte and Laurie Hernandez will be two members of the celebrity cast competing, with Lochte dancing with fan favorite Cheryl Burke.
Lochte, who has been experiencing backlash after Rio, including being dropped by four of his biggest sponsors, appeared relaxed and excited while on “Good Morning America,” expressing, “I’m definitely really excited. This is completely new for me. I think it’s time for me to hang up the Speedo and put on my dancing shoes and get in that ballroom.”
The 12-time Olympic gold medalist continued by stating, “I’m going to treat this kind of like going into the Olympics. You train for so long and you have that one shot to put it all out there, and I think that’s what I’m going to do.”
“Dancing With The Stars” 23rd season premiers on September 12th at 8 p.m. EST on ABC.
