Ryan Lochte Opens Up on Celebrity Big Brother Flashback
Ryan Lochte was voted off of Celebrity Big Brother earlier in season two, but this week’s episode was a flashback episode and showed the Olympic champion talking about his incident in Rio.
It was a clip previously not aired during the season.
“I went from everyone loved me, and I was on top of the world, and then I was one of the most hated people,” Lochte said on the show.
Lochte is a six-time Olympic gold medalist. During the Rio Olympics in 2016, after the swimming competition was over, Lochte claimed he was held up at gunpoint at a gas station, along with other teammates. It was later confirmed that Lochte and the swimmers had vandalized the gas station bathroom and were stopped by security guards.
“They blamed us because I fabricated the story,” he said on the show. “I said the gun was pointed at my head but, it was, like, from me to you. But when I told the story, I was still, like, really, like, drunk.”
The original backlash included a 10-month suspension from USA Swimming. He lost four sponsors as well, but he said nothing hurt as much as the hurt he caused his fans.
“I’m a role model for these kids, and when I get messages saying, ‘You should die’ and ‘I thought were you my role model, you’re not anymore,’ that is what really got me … when they started saying, ‘You’re not my role model’ and ‘I lost faith in you’ and stuff like that,” he said on the show, tearing up.
He was voted off the show in January.
Loved that he was in the house! Forever a fan of Ryan’s!!
Whatever
Es un sinvergüenza que daño la imagen de su país en Brasil ??le deberían de haber quitado la licencia por mal comportamiento ???
It was NOT confirmed that they vandalized the bathroom. The police chief claimed they did, but USA Today reporters visited the bathroom and found absolutely zero vandalism. It appears to have been the chief’s way of covering up for rogue cops extorting money from American athletes. He still lied about the gun at his head, but there was, indeed, a gun pointed at them.

So true but the truth doesn’t sell!
Sorry… This was MORE than enough for me.
