GREENSBORO, North Carolina, December 14. RYAN Hoffer lowered Caeleb Dressel’s 15-16 National Age Group record in the men’s 100 free with an impressive performance in the final of the event at Junior Nationals in Greensboro on Saturday. Hoffer clocked 43.13, taking 16 one-hundredths of a second off the mark Caeleb Dressel set last year.
Ironically, Dressel beat Hoffer in the race, clocking 42.85 for a new meet record. Hoffer ended up finishing third behind also Dylan Carter (43.07), but all three beat the previous meet record, a 43.27 that Vlad Morozov set in 2009.
