River Wright Dominates, Crimson Aquatics Win New England Senior Championships

The New England Senior Championships were held this past weekend, December 15-18, 2016, at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Massachusetts. The four day trials/finals meet included the following teams: Amherst Tritons Swim Team, Andover-North Andover YMCA, Apex Aquatics Association, Badger Swim Club Inc., Bayside YMCA Stingrays, Bluefish Swim Club, Bulldog Aquatic Club, Burbank Y Bluefins Swim Team, Cape Cod Swim Club, Commonwealth Swimming, Crimson Aquatics, Envious Swimming, Evolution Aquatics, Executive Swim Club, Exeter Swim Team, Gator Swim Club, Greater Holyoke YMCA Vikings, Green Mountain Aquatics, Greenwood Swimming, Hampshire Regional YMCA, Hockomock Area YMCA Lightning, Kingfish Swimming, Liquid Space Swim Club, Malden Crocs, Manchester Swim Team, Mei’s Typhoons Swimming Club, New Bedford YMCA Hurricanes, North Shore Swim Club, Patriot Swim Club, Phoenix Swimming, Pioneer Valley Aquatic Avenger, Purple Valley Aquatics, Regional YMCA of Western Conne, Seacoast Swimming Association, Shawmut Aquatic Club, Solo Aquatics, South Shore YMCA Strypers, Southern New Hampshire Fins, Upper Valley Aquatic Club, Vermont Aquatic Swimming, Webbs Tornadoes Swim Team, West/Nantucket Swimming, Westfield YMCA Wave, YMCA of Greater Nashua Storm, and YMCA of the North Shore.
The meet featured many multiple individual winners, including Anna Feng of Crimson Aquatics (200 breast, 200 back), Quinn Scannell of Badger Aquatics (200 free, 200 back), Madeline Wallis of Gator Swim Club (100 back, 50 free, 100 free), Carly Cummings of Badger Swim Club (200 IM, 100 breast), Nathalie Eid of Badger Swim Club (1650 free, 500 free, 1000 free) and Ryan Feeley of Badger Swim Club (200 free, 50 free, 100 free). Standout swimmer River Wright of Bluefish Swim Club won four of his individual races (100 fly, 100 back, 200 IM, 100 breast) as well as all the relays he was a part of.
