Quikblox Establish New Starting Block Technology
Federal Way,WA – Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center was chosen for the debut of Quikblox, the first starting platform with an integrated strobe in the front & rear of the platform. Three American & four British records were set off these new & innovative blocks. "I got the best start of my life off these" states Josh Davis after setting a personal best time in the 200 free.
"I think Chad Brent and Keith Brice have taken the starting platform to a new millennium. The strobe feature along with the vertical backstroke grips provide the optimal starting platform available today. I have no doubt that this block will create faster times due to better starts"
– Jim Richardson, University of Michigan women's head coach.
"Quikblox gives a new dimension for faster starts. The response to the flash is visibly faster than to sound. It's the next best thing to Starbuck's coffee."
– Jon Urbanchek University of Michigan men's head coach.
The Quikblox provides the appropriate size for the elite athletes to do a quality track start and a relay step-up start. The design is unique and while fun and fast looking provides an opportunity to use sponsorship logos on them. The strobe is great for all athletes and I believe it will enhance their ability to get a fast start."
– Coach Bill Wadley, Ohio State University
