Queens’ Polina Lapshina Lowers Own Division II 100 Freestyle National Record

Swimming at the 2019 NCAA Division II National Championships Queens’ Polina Lapshina set a new Division II 100 freestyle NCAA record.
After setting a new mark this morning (48.36), Lapshina was out faster than her record pace tonight and held onto that speed in the second 50. The junior touched in 48.16 to take the National Title and improve her Division II and Meet Record marks.
Oklahoma Baptist junior Victoria Fonville flipped second at the 50 and held on for the victory, touching in 49.42. Also slipping under 50 was 200 freestyle champion Randi Yarnell of WSCU, in 49.88.
