Purdue Gets 2021 Verbal from 2017 World Juniors Semi-Finalist Cecilie Wiuff of Denmark
NEW COMMIT: Purdue University has received a new verbal commitment for the 2021-22 season and beyond from Cecilie Wiuff of Albertslund, Denmark.
She’ll join Audrey Crowel and Mahala Erlandson in West Lafayette as a member of the Boilermakers’ class of 2025.
Regarding her commitment, she said:
“I’m incredibly excited to announce my verbal commitment to Purdue University! I choose Purdue because I believe it’s the right place for me and because of the great opportunities available for academics and athletics. I’m happy to be a part of the family and 2021 can’t come fast enough! Boiler up!”
Wiuff competes internationally for the Danish Swimming Federation and trains year-round with A6 Swim Team. At the 6th FINA World Junior Championships in 2017, Wiuff competed in three events and advanced to the semi-finals of the 100m fly. Primarily a butterflyer, she also raced two events at the 2016 European Junior Championships.

- 100m fly – 1:00.48
- 200m fly – 2:14.76
- 50m free – 27.61
- 100m free – 58.93
In SCY, those times convert to:
- 50 fly – 24.24
- 100 fly – 53.22
- 200 fly – 1:58.88
- 50 free – 24.15
- 100 free – 51.64
Wiuff earned a pair of best times at the Danish National Championships in November and finaled in two events at the East Danish SC Championships in October. She will add valuable depth for the Boilermaker’s fly group and will have two years of overlap with Lindsay Turner and Mallory Jump.
