Princeton Picks Up 2023 Verbal From CIF State Champion Ethan Harrington
NEW COMMIT: Junior National finalist Ethan Harrington of Palo Alto, California, has verbally committed* to Princeton University and will arrive on campus in Fall 2023.
He is set to join Daniel Li in the Tigers’ Class of 2027.
Farrington currently ranks 12th in the 50 free and 25th in the 100 free all-time for the boys’ 15-16 age group.
His best times include:
- 50 free – 19.73
- 100 free – 43.60
- 200 free – 1:38.11
- 100 fly – 48.23
Harrington trains year-round with Palo Alto Stanford Aquatics and won the 100 free at College Station Sectionals in March after placing fourth in that event at Juniors West back in December.
A rising senior at Palo Alto High School, Harrington won the 50/100 free at the CIF Central Coast Section Championship this past season, setting a new record in the 50 free with a time of 19.73. He then won those two events at the CIF State Championship just one week later.
Harrington will make an immediate impact individually and on relays when he arrives on campus: His best time in the 50/100 free would’ve scored in the A-final at the 2022 Ivy League Championships, also placing in the B-final of the 100 fly and 200 free.
