Princeton On Fire During Day 1 Prelims of Ivy League
PRINCETON – Princeton’s top-end speed will be tested against Harvard’s overall depth as Princeton claimed an A final heavy 13 qualifiers against Harvard’s more balanced 16 point-scorers during prelims of the Ivy League Championships.

Yale started off strong with three of the top five qualifiers in the middle-distance event. Brian Hogan (4:18.75) and Kei Hyogo (4:19.09) went 1-2, while teammate Rob Harder took fifth in 4:21.11.
Overall, however, Harvard had the strongest morning with a total of six qualifiers, two in each heat.

Princeton unleashed in the 200 IM, claiming the top four spots in the A final with Byron Sanborn (1:45.51), Teo D’Alessandro (1:45.60), Connor Maher (1:45.73) and Marco Bove (1:45.89) all doing fine work this morning.
Harvard did some work this morning in the 200 IM as well, claiming a total of six qualifiers. That’s not going to balance against Princeton’s four big scorers, though.

Princeton put up another strong effort in the splash-and-dash with five of the top 10 qualifying spots.
Harrison Wagner led the way with a 19.42 for the top seed. Sandy Bole (19.96) and Ben Schafer (20.05) also made the A final with fourth and sixth-place efforts.
Alex Lewis (20.09) and Julian Mackrel (20.11) snared B final spots.
