Preview: SwimmerJoe Show with Coaches Sid Cassidy, Andrew Hancock
Emmanuel College (Australia) Head Coach Andrew Hancock and Saint Andrew’s School Head Coach Sid Cassidy will join host Joe Auer on the SwimmerJoe Show on Sunday, Jan. 6 at 6:00 pm EST. The live event can be streamed on both the Swimming World and International Swimming Hall of Fame Facebook pages. Replays will also be available on Spotify and Amazon’s Alexa.
In 2012, Hancock started the swimming & diving program at the University of West Florida which he coached through June of 2018. At UWF, Hancock’s squad won nine individual national championships, and had 41 First Team All-Americans and 60 Honorable Mention All-Americans.
Cassidy will join Hancock and Auer for his second appearance on the SwimmerJoe Show.
Cassidy is known for being an open-water specialist, notably for his role as an official at the Olympic Games. He has coached for USA Swimming, the University of Miami, James Madison University, Florida State, the University of Tampa, Atlantic City Aquatic Club and Wilmington Aquatic Club.
Off deck, Cassidy has been a member of the FINA Technical Committee and was a key contributor to getting marathon swimming into the Olympic Games.
