Poll: What Was the Top Gold-Medal Performance By a Female Swimmer at the Paris Olympics (Vote Here!)
Over nine days of competition in Paris, the Olympic Games produced a number of sensational performances in women’s competition. Canadian Summer McIntosh led the way with three individual gold medals while Kaylee McKeown, Katie Ledecky and Sarah Sjostrom won two titles each. Event triumphs were also claimed by Mollie O’Callaghan, Ariarne Titmus, Tatjana Smith, Kate Douglass and Torri Huske.
In our latest poll, Swimming World is asking its readership to select its top gold-medal female performance from the Paris Games. With 14 efforts to choose from, it is not an easy question to answer. The standout swim to one fan might rank way down the list of another fan. We’re curious to see if one event, or perhaps a few, emerge from the rest.
Regardless of your opinion, we can probably all agree that the action at La Defense Arena was spectacular and will be remembered into the future. Here’s to an enjoyable road toward the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

Reagan Smith’s 100 back of the 4×100 medley gold. Olympic record putting team above self.
Sharon Van Rouwendaal Open Water win in the incredibly challenging conditions absolutely blew my mind and was my favourite gold. Absolutely loved all the others as well but the Open Water race was another level.
The Women’s 200 fly produced the two fastest textile swims in history and McIntosh still beat Smith to the wall by a good 0.81 seconds.
