Although there are literally hundreds of championship meets slated to take place all over the world this year, we’re narrowing it down to just three upcoming swim meets for you. The first is the women’s NCAA Division I swimming and diving championships slated for Greensboro, North Carolina, in March. The second choice is the men’s NCAA Division I meet in Iowa City the following week. And the third choice is the FINA world championships, set for August in Kazan, Russia. Just go to swimmingworld.com to place your vote in the poll on the right side of the page.
Before we go we want to bring you the results of our last poll, which asked you if FINA puts more emphasis on short course competition versus long course competition. And it seems that those who voted believe that FINA does not put more emphasis on short course swimming, with 65 percent of voters picking the “no” option. Thirty-five percent said yes, FINA does emphasize short course swimming more than long course competition. Thanks to everyone for voting.
