Polish Swimming Federation Names 23 Swimmers to Olympic Team for Tokyo
23 swimmers and 10 coaches have been named to the Polish Olympic team that will represent the country at the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 17 days. The highlight is that Pawel Korzeniowski is off to his fifth Olympics as he will celebrate his 36th birthday on Friday. He will swim the 100 butterfly as he is ranked 20th in the world among those qualified for the Games.

Kasia Wasick is qualified for her fourth Olympics and looks to be the country’s best hope for a medal in swimming, ranking herself fifth this year in the 50 freestyle in the world.

Konrad Czerniak, Radoslaw Kawecki, Kacper Majchrzak and Alicia Tchorz each qualified for their third team, while Pawel Juraszek qualified for his second team.
Jakub Majerski will have a good shot at a medal in the 100 butterfly, coming in ninth in the world while Juraszek is 11th in the 50 free and Kawecki is 16th in the 200 back.
Kacper Stokowski will be making his Olympic debut after winning gold at the 2017 European Juniors in the 100 back, as well as Karol Ostrowski, Bartosz Piszczorowicz and Jakub Kraska, who teamed with Stokowski to win the 4×100 free relay at that same meet four years ago.
Kraska also won silver in the 100 free at the 2018 Youth Olympics
