Pitchfork Aquatics’ Ashlyn Reidhead Commits to Concordia University Irvine
NEW COMMIT: Mesa, Az. native Ashlyn Reidhead has committed to Concordia University Irvine and will arrive on campus in the fall of 2020.
Reidhead, who drives 30 minutes each way to attend practice, swims year-round with Pitchfork Aquatics and raced four events this past summer at the Arizona LCM Senior Open. Last winter, she competed at the Arizona SCY Senior Open before going on to have a strong showing at Phoenix Sectionals. Also competing for Chandler High School, Reidhead was a member of the winning 4×100 free relay at the Arizona State Championships in 2017. She also swam on the 4×50 medley relay and 4×100 free relay that placed fourth at States during her junior season.
Her best times include:
- 50 free – 24.92
- 100 free – 54.09
- 100 fly – 59.94
- 200 IM – 2:11.18
Redihead will add valuable depth both individually and on relays when she suits up for the Eagles as a member of the class of 2024 as her best times already rank near the top of their lineup. She would’ve scored in the C-final of the 200 IM, 50 free, and 100 free at the 2019 PCSC Championships.
