Paul Bergen Junior International: Ashley McGregor, Lindsay Delmar Set Meet Records

BEAVERTON, Oregon, December 13. A pair of meet records fell on the final night of short course meter swimming at the Paul Bergen Junior International meet.

Ashley McGregor topped the meet record in the women's 100 breast with a 1:08.14. That performance wiped out the 1:09.00 set by Rachel Nicol. Tianna Rissling and Bronwyn Pasloski also tied for second with matching 1:08.83s under the meet record.

Lindsay Delmar (59.45) and Katerine Savard (59.65) both beat the women's 100 fly meet record, with Delmar taking the title. Kendra Chernoff clocked the previous record with a 59.85 last year. Noemie Thomas finished third in 1:01.14.

Sarah Sumner pocketed the women's 200 free title to start the night with a 1:59.97. Jacqueline Keire wound up second in 2:00.69 with Chelsea Rolin claiming third in 2:00.89. Joel Ax touched first in the men's 200 free with a 1:48.83. Chad Bobrosky (1:49.15) and David Dimitrov (1:50.24) completed the top three.

Chris vom Lehn touched out Troy Arnicke in the men's 100 breast, 1:01.48 to 1:01.84. Gleb Suvorov placed third in 1:03.03. Neil O'Halloran won the men's 100 fly in 54.47. Fabian Schwingenschlogl (55.09) and Anders McIntyre (55.18) also finished in the top three.

Brooklynn Snodgrass picked up the women's 50 back crown in 28.63, while Cynthia Pammett (28.73) and Dorte Baumert (28.88) took second and third. Alexander Peter took home the men's 50 back in 25.98. Steven Ung finished second in 26.03 with Ryan Cockell placing third in 26.13.

Natasha Fung snatched the women's 200 IM title in 2:14.29. Hilary Caldwell touched second in 2:15.29, while Genevieve Cantin wound up third in 2:15.64. Dimitrov moved up from third in the men's 200 free with a 2:00.91 to win the men's 200 IM. Daniel Jensen turned in a second-place 2:03.62, while Schwingenschlogl placed third in 2:04.03.

Tyra Rooney walked away with the women's 800 free title in 8:43.73. Chelsea Rolin placed second in 8:48.28, while Sherry Liu touched third in 8:48.67. Bobrosky grabbed the men's 1500 free crown in 15:27.15. Craig Dagnall took second in 15:36.26, while Aimeson King wound up third in 15:36.42.

Alexia Zevnik, McGregor, Alyson Ackman and Rolin won the women's 400 medley relay in 4:10.44. Meanwhile, Peter, vom Lehn, Schwingenschlogl and Ax topped the men's 400 medley relay in 3:44.15.
