Paralympic Athlete Diary – Part 5

Gotta rush (as usual). Cruise yesterday was great, but
cloudy and windy. Very tired. It's rush, rush, rush
all the time. Today we've got workout at Ryde. Then
I'll eat breakfast, go back to my trailer and SLEEP!!!
Opening ceremony is tonight, so it'll be a late one.
Fortunately workout isn't until 9:30 tomorrow morning.
There was only one Olympic ring left on Harbour
Bridge. A lot of people are quite upset about the
removal of the rings. The Paralympics has its own
symbol, but I don't they'd ever go to the expense of
mounting them on a bridge. No worries.
Okay, it's time to go. I'm feeling lousy in the water,
but that's how I felt before trials and I'm pleased
how I did there. I've got to remind myself how much I
love swimming and know that I am capable of swimming
really fast.
For now,
Karen
