Performance plateaus are common for swimmers, but can be turned into growth opportunities with the proper approach. To overcome plateaus and achieve new personal bests, consider adopting the following strategies: 

Change Your Routine

Repeating the same workouts can lead to adaptation and stagnation. If you vary your training by swimming different strokes or adding cross-training activities like strength training, yoga or pilates, these activities will work different muscle groups, improve balance, and enhance flexibility, all while boosting your performance in the water.

Set Small, Achievable Goals
