OSSC’s Cecilia Moore Gives Verbal Commitment to Ball State

NEW COMMIT: Dublin, Ohio’s Cecilia Moore has announced her verbal commitment to swim for Ball State University. She’s a senior at Bishop Watterson High School and does her year round training with Ohio State Swim Club.
Moore is strongest in backstroke. Her best times are:
- 50 Back 27.64
- 100 Back 58.12
- 200 Back 2:06.41
- 50 Free 25.15
She said of her decision,
“I am honored to announce my verbal commitment to Ball State University to further pursue my academic and athletic career! The team welcomed me as part of their family and Coach Kristy made my dream of becoming a division 1 college swimmer come true. I want to thank my family, coaches, teammates, and friends for believing in me and motivating me towards excellence. Can’t wait for the next four years!!#chirpchirp”
As a freshman last year Anne Vormohr led Ball State’s backstroke efforts. She’ll overlap with Moore for two years.
Moore will have familiar backstroke company when she gets to the Mid-American Athletic Conference next year. Her Ohio State Swim Club teammate Lauren Cooper is verbally committed to Akron. The two join a growing group of club teammates who have made verbal commitments including Jason Mathews, Benjamin Kuriger, Hudson McDaniel, Eddie Michael, and Rachel Peroni.
