Olympic Gold Medalist Rachel Bootsma Says “Yes!”

2012 Olympic Gold Medalist in the 400 medley relay and three-time NCAA 100 backstroke Champion Rachel Bootsma said yes to a proposal from her boyfriend, Cole Reiser, on Sept. 30:

Reiser is a former member of the Cal-men’s rowing team before graduating in 2014. The Cal golden couple set the date for their wedding on Oct. 15.

“9.30.17 was the best day of my life, but I think that 7.14.18 is going to be even better! Already counting down the days to forever,” Bootsma said via Instagram:
