Ohio State Buckeyes Keep Reid Caswell In-State For 2024
NEW COMMIT: The Ohio State University has received a new verbal commitment for the 2024-25 season and beyond from local product Reid Caswell of Columbus, Ohio.
He told Swimming World:
“Blessed to announce my commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at The Ohio State University. Thank you to my coaches, teammates, family and friends for all their support. Go Bucks!”
A Junior National qualifier who stands 6’6 tall, Caswell trains year-round with Upper Arlington Swim Club and is primarily a mid-distance freestyler. He placed seventh in the 400m free, 12th in the 200m free and 20th in the 100m free at San Antonio Futures this past summer.
His best times include:
- 100 free – 46.28
- 200 free – 1:39.16
- 500 free – 4:34.97
Currently a senior at Upper Arlington High School, Caswell placed fifth in the 500 free and seventh in the 200 free at the 2023 Ohio Division I State Championship. He took first and second, respectively, in those events at the district meet, too.
