Notre Dame Fighting Irish Land Verbal from Olympic Trials Qualifier Parker Macy
NEW COMMIT: Olympic Trials qualifier Parker Macy of Irvine, Calif. has announced his verbal commitment to the University of Notre Dame beginning in the fall of 2021.
He will join Andrew Guziec, Nick Tommasone, Chris Guiliano, Max Myers and Owen Grimaldi with the Fighting Irish as a member of the class of 2025.
Regarding his commitment, he said:
“I am both humbled and proud to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at the University of Notre Dame! I would like to thank God, my family, my coaches, and my friends for supporting me through the whole process. GO IRISH! ☘️ #cantstoptheshamrock”
A talented breaststroker and IMer, Macy does his club swimming with Irvine Novaquatics and owns three U.S. Open standards in addition to the Olympic Trials cut in the 200m breast. He finaled in three events at the Toyota U.S. Open in December and most recently notched six best times at College Station Sectionals. Last summer, he raced three events at Phillips 66 Nationals and

- 100 breast – 56.69/1:05.39
- 200 breast – 2:00.47/2:17.55
- 200 IM – 1:50.58/2:07.07
- 400 IM – 3:54.77/4:29.81
Also competing for Irvine High School, Macy is a four-time CIF Southern DI Section Championship finalist. He placed sixth in the 200 IM and ninth in the 100 breast as a sophomore while taking 13th and 16th, respectively, in those events during his rookie season.
