From USA Today: 1996 Olympic Gold Medalists Kurt Grote and Jenny Thompson, will be honored, along with other US Olympians, at the Northern California “Welcome Home” Dinner on Friday, Oct. 11, at the San Jose Fairmont. Proceeds from the dinner will be used to support the Northern California Olympian Mentor Program, which allows Olympians to share their experience with the youth. The evening begins with a reception and silent auction at 6:30 p.m. Dinner will follow at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $96 and may be purchased by calling (408) 559-6119.
