North Carolina Sweeps Johns Hopkins

CHAPEL HILL, North Carolina, January 16. THE North Carolina men's and women's swimming and diving teams defeated Johns Hopkins in dual action Tuesday afternoon at Koury Natatorium. The UNC men won 170-109 and the Tar Heel women won 171-96.
UNC women who won two individual events included Taylor McFarlane (200 free, 400 IM), Ashley Howard (100 back, 500 free) and Meagan Eickman (50 free, 100 fly).
The two-event winners for UNC's men were Hank Browning (1000 free, 200 back) and David Solarz (1 and 3-meter diving).
North Carolina's men improved to 3-2 on the season with the dual meet victory while the Blue Jays are now 5-4. The UNC women are now 5-1 overall and the Blue Jays are 5-4.
